Tom Holland, star of Spider-Man, has addressed recent rumors regarding his relationship with Zendaya, stating unequivocally that they have not broken up.
Speculation arose among fans when Zendaya underwent a significant social media purge, unfollowing everyone, including Holland, on Instagram.
While this action could simply be a routine cleanup or related to promotion for her upcoming movie, Challengers, some fans began to worry that it signaled the end of their relationship, despite Holland still following Zendaya on his account.
However, Holland swiftly clarified the rumors in a brief statement to TMZ after being approached by a reporter in Los Angeles. When asked if he and Zendaya had broken up, Holland responded with a firm “No, absolutely not,” before heading into his car.
The couple confirmed their relationship in 2021 after meeting on the set of Spider-Man, where Zendaya portrayed Holland’s on-screen love interest, MJ.
Despite occasionally sharing glimpses of their relationship on social media, they have chosen to keep most details private.
Zendaya discussed navigating life in the public eye with Elle, stating, “I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share.”
Similarly, Holland has emphasized the importance of privacy in their relationship, describing it as “sacred.” He told The Hollywood Reporter, “Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of, and we want to keep it as sacred as possible… It’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.”
