How can you tell accurately that a woman has not been sexually active?
I’ll tell you.
Just like men, women are very sexual beings, and when a woman reaches a certain adult age, if she’s healthy, certain things are expected to begin to happen in response to the changes ongoing in her body.
However, every woman’s sexual journey is different, and you can’t put everyone in one box.
While some women are very in tune with their sexuality and are always sexually active, others have not explored that side of themselves.
Some women have never been sexually active, while others have been, but it’s been a long while since that happened for them.
How can you tell that a woman hasn’t been sexually active?
7 Signs That A Woman Has Not Been Sexually Active
- SHE IS EAGER TO HAVE SEX
signs that a woman has not been sexually active
In some cases, you can tell that a woman has not been sexually active by how eager she is to get into sexual activities.
Not every woman who is excited about sex is a pro or a sexually active woman.
Sometimes, the urgency is laced with naivety and curiosity.
The eagerness may also be as a result of a build-up of expectancy, such as with a woman who has been abstaining for some reasons, but finally feels ready to explore.
She has not done it before or has not done it in a long while, so she is excited and hungry, desiring it with haste.
If you see these signs yearning, it can be a sign that it has been a while since anything happened down there.
- SHE’S HESITANT ABOUT IT
signs that a woman has not been sexually active
While some women who haven’t been sexually active are eager and impatient, for others, the reverse is the case.
When some women haven’t been sexually active in a while, they become withdrawn in that area.
This happens for different reasons; maybe their minds have just left that sexual space and are finding it difficult to return there, or they may have begun to experience some sexual issues.
Some women who haven’t been sexually active experience arousal problems; it’s perhaps even the reason why they weren’t active in the first place.
These issues lead to a lack of sexual desire or arousal, which ultimately causes their interest or eagerness for sexual activities to decline.
They may hesitate or show nervousness around physical touch.
- ZERO KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE SUBJECT
signs that a woman has not been sexually active
This is a telling sign of a woman who has not been engaging in sexual activities: she does not know so much.
Although some women who have not been sexually active may have a wealth of knowledge about sex from reading books and listening to people, they still do not have as much knowledge as women who have been doing the “do.”
The sexually inactive woman may not know much about contraceptives, men’s fantasies, sex styles and so on.
She obviously will also not have preferences since she has no experience in that area.
She may not prioritize regular visits to a gynecologist because she doesn’t see the need to.
Generally, she will show a lack of familiarity with sexual practices because it is not an area where she has much history, experience, and knowledge in.
- EMOTIONAL DISTANCING
A woman who is emotionally withdrawn and finds it difficult to open up to people and potential partners may be a sexually inactive woman.
If she is distancing herself from her feelings, it may be safe to say that nothing is happening in her intimate life.
If she is shutting men out and not seeing anyone, maybe due to trauma or pain, the chances of her sexual side being active are low.
She may be doing great in other areas of her life, but in this area she may be more conservative.
- PHYSICAL DISCOMFORT OR PAIN DURING SEX
signs that a woman has not been sexually active
Apart from things like vaginismus and other health challenges, another reason why a woman may be uncomfortable or feel pain during sex is because it has been a while since that happened.
It could also be that she has never done it before.
While sex happens easily for some people and even when it’s their first time, there’s no discomfort; for other people, that is not the case.
Some women experience some discomfort or pain on their first sexual encounter, some even experience some level of bleeding.
This is sometimes due to the presence of the hymen which is present in some women who are virgins, or because of a tightened vaginal wall.
Whether it is her first-ever, or the first after a long time, their body has to take some time to get the memo.
So, if she is a bit uneasy during sex, perhaps it is because she has not been sexually active.
I have to mention that not every virgin woman has a hymen, or feels pain on her first sexual encounter.
Every woman’s body is different and should not be compared with another woman.
- INCREASED SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS ABOUT HER BODY
Sometimes, you can tell that a woman hasn’t been sexually active by how she behaves.
A woman who is a regular in this area is more likely to be confident and secure about her body and appearance.
But one who has not been sexually active may have increased self-consciousness about her body, doubting herself, and obsessing about getting things right.
It is only natural to be bold when you have been through a path before and a bit unsure when you have not.
- NO HISTORY OF PREGNANCY OR STDS
signs that a woman has not been sexually active
Not every woman who has been sexually active comes down with a sexually transmitted illness or gets pregnant.
But sometimes, you can tell a bit about a woman’s sexual history by these things.
If you’re certain that she’s not had any sexual-related issues or been pregnant before, there’s a chance that she’s not been sexually active.
This is obviously not a hundred percent reliable sign because she may just have been good at protecting herself and using contraceptives.
But it can be part of the things you look out for because there’s no single telltale sign unless, of course, the woman tells you by herself, which is still not a hundred percent confirmatory.
The signs that will be seen vary depending on the woman involved.
Seeing that this is a sensitive subject, it is best approached with discretion and a lot of carefulness.
A woman’s body and what she chooses to do with it is a function of her mindset and sometimes society.
But whatever she decides to do is up to her and her decision should be respected.
She shouldn’t be manipulated, or forced to do anything she doesn’t want to do
